Antique Staffordshire Pottery Lion with Glass Eyes

This majestic and substantial lion would look great guarding anyone’s mantle piece!

This is an authentic lion made in the Staffordshire potteries in England, late 19th century. Slip cast, hand painted, with mirror bright gilt and actual glass eyes. Its face has hand painted detail and is very expressive. As with all of these statues of this period there is no makers mark. He would certainly be a fabulous addition to any mantle, bookshelf, or table.
